About Project Monitoring and Control

The purpose of this process area is to provide an understanding of the project’s progress so that appropriate corrective actions can be taken when the project’s performance deviates significantly from the plan. Monitor the project against the plan by monitoring project planning parameters, commitments, project risks, data management, and stakeholder involvement. Conduct progress and milestone reviews. Analyze the issues; take and manage the corrective action to closure.
