About Generic Goal Level 2

CMMI identifies generic goals and practices for all process areas by level. Only levels 2 and 3 have associated generic goals and practices. The level 2 generic goal and practices apply to all level 2 process areas. The CMMI level 2 generic goal states "The process is institutionalized as a managed process." This goal is accomplished through performing a series of generic practices (GP), grouped by the common features commitment to perform (CO), ability to perform (AB), directing implementation (DI), and verifying implementation (VE).
