About Generic Goal Level 3
CMMI identifies generic goals and practices for all process areas by level. Only levels 2 and 3 have associated generic goals and practices. Both the level 2 and 3 generic goals and practices apply to the process areas of level 3 and above. The CMMI level 3 generic goal states "The process is institutionalized as a defined process." This goal is accomplished through performing a series of generic practices (GP), grouped by the common features commitment to perform (CO), ability to perform (AB), directing implementation (DI), and verifying implementation (VE). |
