Product integration planning consists of creating the integration sequence and the defining criteria to be met prior to integration. Incremental integration and testing creates a stable foundation upon which other functionality can be integrated.
Entry Criteria
When:
- After significant updates to the solution architecture, typically once at the beginning of each iteration.
Dependencies:
- Solution Architecture Complete: The solution architecture has been created and approved.

Plan Integration Sequence |
- Create the integration sequence. Sequencing depends on factors such as dependencies (which functionality needs to be integrated at the same time, before, or after other functionality), availability, and risk.

Establish Integration Criteria |
- Create the criteria to be met prior to integrating code. Typical criteria include unit test reports, peer reviews, and passing code analysis tool tests.

Review Integration Plan |
- Review, revise, and approve the product integration planning.
