Evoke Organizational Process |
- Start a new project. The organizational process is automatically evoked.

Apply Tailoring Criteria and Guidelines |
- Answer a series of questions about the project. The answers to these questions are compared to the defined tailoring criteria and a tailored project process and tailoring report are created.

Evaluate Process |
- Evaluate the tailored process to make sure it fits the needs and requirements of the project.

Establish Measurement Plan |
- Measurements are taken on all standard processes. The default Measurement Plan is a result of the process tailoring. It includes all standard measurements. Add any user-defined measurements to this plan, as desired.

Establish Project Data Management Plan |
- Evaluate if the project will use the standard measurement data, or if modifications to the data schema are required. Create a plan for any modifications.

Populate Organization Measurement Server |
- As activities are performed in the Visual Studio 2005 Team System environment, the Organization Measurement Server is automatically populated with standard, automated measurement data.

Populate Organization Process Asset Library |
- The process definition is automatically maintained. As work products such as plans, designs, etc., are created and put into version control. They can then be identified as prime examples and will be added to the Process Asset Library.

Maintain Process Asset Library Catalog |
- Review the catalog of prime examples. Remove or add examples, as desired.
